How to incorporate unique drapery in your wedding backdrop

While there are many amazing draping installations to inspire, we’re obsessing over this one -The Ivory Chiffon Arch

It’s no secret that dramatic draping is trending for 2026 weddings. Luxury stylists like Omer Gillony and Mia Sylvia have given us extravagant examples of how soft textures can add intimacy to a room and make even a grand cathedral feel transformed and soft.

Our obsession with these decidedly European luxury wedding inspirations led us to a concept that would sweep Tik Tok and Instagram by storm.

We sourced inspiration from the haute couture master Ivan van Herpen who manipulates fabric in an incredible way. With her background in fabrication and sewing, Alyssa, owner of Elysian Flower Club, was able to utilize couture sewing techniques on a large scale to sculpt a two piece wedding arch that far outshines a pipe and drape installation with its uniqueness. This asymmetrical wedding backdrop shows off tendrils of ivory chiffon cascading in a way that almost defy gravity. After being featured by our collaboration partner I Have This Friend on social media, the Ivory Chiffon Arch went viral as the first of its kind. Some of our favorite comments compared the flowing fabric to oyster mushrooms or scalloped potatoes. While this made us laugh, the comparison is actually kind of accurate. The way the individual panels of fabric sway and layer on each other.

The delicately hand sewn and fabricated arch is made of matte chiffon in ivory and can be rented in Southern California. Unlike any other ceremony designs, the Ivory Chiffon Arch is an original piece 100% hand made by Alyssa in Los Angeles.

Update: Due to the demand of this rental piece, we have created a second style that is collapsable and able to ship across the continental US. Visit our contact page to inquire. For out of country purchasing inquiries please email ElysianInstallations@gmail.com. At this time there are no other retailers or companies that we partner with to sell this item.
